Fernando Duarte

Born in Lisbon, in 1979. He studied at the Contemporary Dance Academy of Setúbal under the guidance of teachers Maria Bessa and António Rodrigues. In 1995/96 he was a trainee dancer at CeDeCe – Companhia de Dança Contemporânea. He joined the National Ballet Company in 1996, where he was Principal Dancer. In 2005/2007 was Soloist in the National Ballet of Norway. He danced most of the major roles of the classical repertoire as well as ballets from the neo-classical and contemporary universe. From 2011 to 2017 he was a Master of Ballet and Tester at the CNB where he also choreographed new versions of The Swan Lake (2013), The Nutcracker (2014), The Bird of Fire (2015) and La Bayadère (2016) of Cimbalo Obbligato in 2010. He also choreographed for other companies, such as CeDeCe – Companhia de Dança Contemporânea e Dançarte, as well as several ‘pas-de-deux’ for international finery. He co-authored the show for children Cinderella in toes and Dó, Ré, Mi, Perlimpimpim. He teaches Classical Dance Technique since 2008 and is currently a Professor at EADCN, Escola Artistica de Dança do Conservatório Nacional, as well as Guest teacher at several national and international schools. Invited to participate in conferences on Art and Dance, Fernando Duarte is also a PhD in Artistic Studies at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the New University of Lisbon. As a choreographer, he is currently involved in the creation of independent projects. In January 2018 he founded Dance in Dialogues – Platform Choreography, together with Solange Melo with whom he shared the artistic direction. In 2018 she created the ballet “Murmúrios de Pedro e Inês” and won the Anna Mascolo Dance Prize awarded by the Mirpuri Foundation Awards 2018.

Carmen Larraz

Carmen began her ballet studies at Pamplona´s Dance School and continued in Madrid.On 2000, she was granted a scholarship to study in P.A.R.T.S, for the x-group, Brussels, where she completed her contemporary dance studies. She has worked for :Salva Sanchis ,Frey Faust, Deja Donne, contemporary circus company Rital Brocante with Roberto Magro , and Iztok Kovac En- Knap. She has danced with David Zambrano in the Rabbit Project , and has been invited by Pep Ramis, Malpelo Dance Company to improvisation research laboratory. Since 2009 she places her residence in Pamplona, and starts to develop personal work in collaboration with artist from different fields. On 2013 she creates the company Dínamo Dance and creates the first production with the support of Ministry of Culture of Navarra and Theathre Gayarre: “Broken Arrow”. The company has performed in several festivals such as Prisma, Panamá, Zawirowania international contest, International Dance Week Festival, Lekuz Leku, Villareal EnDansa, Mexico, Barcelona, Colombia…On 2016, she gets the second price at the International Solo Dance Contest Gdansk, with her solo “Dynamo”, and participates at the 30º Certamen Coreográfico Madrid with the duet Lights and Shadows, where she gets the price of two artistic residences. She collaborated for Bertha Bermudez´ s choreographic work “Belleza Robada”, premiered at Gayarre Theater. She has been dancer and artistic assistant for Marta Coronado´s piece “El Silencio de las Flores”, created for the Lainez´s Principe de Viana Award 2016. On 2016, Carmen creates and takes the artistic direction of Danzad Danzad Malditos, an open air independent dance festival celebrated at the Historical Centre of Pamplona, which is celebrated every year. On 2019 together with Marta Coronado and Laida Aldaz creates and co-directs La Faktoria, International Choreographic Centre. She usually teaches contemporary dance and improvisation, and keeps learning martial art.

Sandra Resende

Sandra Araújo Kuznetsona Resende completed the 8-year course at E.D.C.N. (Dance school of the National Conservatory) and took a two-year postgraduate degree at the Vaganova Dance Academy in St. Petersburg, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree. She danced in several international companies solo and main roles of diverse repertoire ballets as well as new choreographic creations.The companies you worked with throughout your career: Mali Theater, St. Petersburg – Russia, Europe Dance – France, C.N.B. – Portugal, N.B.T. – England, GregorSeyfertCompagnie, Dessau – Germany, LandesbuhneSachsen, Dresden – Germany, Hagen Ballet – Germany. Throughout her career, Sandra Resende has also participated in several international festivals and world-renowned prizes, among them the Cuba Festival Organized by Alicia Alonzo, the 1st International Dance Festival of Dessau and the Prix Benoit de la Dance where she performed together with his partner the pas de deux of the ballet Marquis de Sade. In October 2016 he became a Master of Dance Teaching by ESD. At this moment Sandra teaches TDC (Classical Dance Technique) at the School of Dance of the National Conservatory and at the Superior School of Dance. She also works as a rehearser and guest teacher at the Quorum Ballet, and as TDC teacher at the Quorum Academy Project.

Maria Telo de Abreu

Técnica de Dança Clássica – Elementar

Born in Lisbon, she lived in Elvas until he was six years old and returned to that city twenty years later. There she runs his own dance school, A.D.E. – Elvas Dance Academy, and directed the Municipal Academy of Dance and Performative Arts of this same municipality between the years of 2008 and 2011. She is a registered lecturer at RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) and supervisor of the Faculty of Education in London. She acquired her training in Dance between Lisbon (National Ballet Company Dance Center and EDCN – National Conservatory Dance School); Royal Academy of Dance and Faculty of Education (London); and School of Dance of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon where he completed the Master’s Degree in Dance Teaching in 2014. She was a scholarship student at the Royal Academy of Dance in 1995, 1997 and 1998; the Ministry of Education and BCP- Banco Comercial Português in 1998. As a student she completed the courses of the Dance School of the National Conservatory under the guidance of Mestre Jorge Garcia; and Royal Academy of Dance where she graduated with Honors under the guidance of Professor June Mitchel. SHe danced professionally for seven years at CNB – Companhia Nacional de Bailado where he played numerous roles in classical, neoclassical and contemporary repertoire ballets; having been featured in ballets such as Agon, Who Cares ?, and George Balanchine’s Serenade, In the Middle Somewhat Elevated by William Forshythe, Aract by Kevin O’Hare, George Garcia’s Giselle, Michael Corder’s Cinderella, Armando Jorge’s Copelia, Sleeping Beauty by Ted Bendsen, among others.

As a teacher specializing in the 7th and 8th grade girls (11th and 12th year of regular education) of Specialized Artistic Education in Dance at EDCN-School of Dance of the National Conservatory under the guidance of Professor Irina Zavialova. Simultaneously with her dance career, she is also a Pilates Instructor, formed by Polestar Pilates (Filipa Mayer) and ALM Pilates, with a Professional IDP Sports Coach Card. Certified Teacher in Progressing Ballet Technique, formed by Marie Walton Mahon herself in 2018. As a guest teacher, she has taught classes in Classical Dance Technique, repertoire, variations and tips at the Escuela Profesional de Danza María Montero de Espinosa in Spain and the Summer Dance Intensive at the National Conservatory Dance School. Along with her training in Dance, in the artistic area, Maria studied drawing at the National Society of Fine Arts in Lisbon, completed the Third Degree of Musical Theory of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, and studied piano and violin.

As a complement to her training in the area of ​​fitness and rehabilitation she graduated in Higher Chiroassing, Foot Reflexology, Reiki, Moxibustion and Suction Cups at the Kiros Institute in Spain.

Inês Godinho

Técnica de Dança Contemporânea – Elementar

Born in Lisbon, she started dancing in 1992 at Ginásio Clube do Sul and at the Royal Academy of Dance. In 1999, she joined the National Conservatory Dance School, which ended in 2007, obtaining a Professional Dancer diploma. As a student at the Conservatoire she worked with various teachers and choreographers of national and international renown. Throughout her career she attended several dance courses and workshops, namely at the Royal Ballet School. In October 2007 she became a member of the Quorum Ballet and since then she has danced the entire repertoire of the Company. In 2011 she choreographed for the Company’s 6th anniversary “Eventually we find our way”. Since then she has been assiduous choreographer of the Quorum Ballet. She also choreographed for the National Conservatory Dance School and Quorum Project. In 2014/2015, together with Filipe Narciso, she gives choreographic assistance to Daniel Cardoso at the National Company of Albania (TKOBAP). She teaches dance classes at some dance academies including at the Quorum Academy.

In 2016, takes the duet ‘Good Morning Sunshine’ through the Quorum Academy and wins 1st place in two different competitions in Portugal.

Marta Almeida

Barra de Chão

Marta Almeida was born in 1993 in Lisbon. At the age of 9 years she began her vocational studies in dance at the Escola de Dança do Conservatório Nacional in Lisbon where she completed her studies in June 2011. Between 2011 and 2014 she continued her professional training, notably in the field of Contemporary Dance, at the Company Ballet Junior of Genève taking the opportunity of the scholarship that was awarded by the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. Over these 3 years, as a dancer of the Company Ballet Junior of Genève, she participated in all of the company’s production and tours, having performed several repertoire by Stijn Celis, Ken Ossola, Barak Marshall, Andonis Foniadakis, Hofesh Shechter, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, Cindy Van Acker among others. Since 2015 she is a freelance dancer and has participated in several projects in Genève, Lisbon and Brussels. Currently she is completing the master’s degree in Dance Education at ESD, in Lisbon.
